VEHICLES FURNISHED BUT NOT USED

  1. When carrier, upon receipt of a request to pick up a shipment for expedited service or for exclusive use, has dispatched a vehicle for such purpose, and due to no disability, fault of the carrier, the shipment is not tendered, or the vehicle is not used, a charge of $175.00 per vehicle will be assessed.
  2. No charge will be assessed if the carrier is notified prior to the dispatching of the vehicle that the shipment will not be tendered or that the vehicle will not be used.

  3. Where carrier and carrier's driver are not notified within 60 minutes of arrival at the point designated for pickup that a shipment will not be tendered or carrier's vehicle is detained at such point for a period greater than 60 minutes for any reason beyond carrier's control, charges in addition to that specified in paragraph (a) of this Item shall apply as follows:

        • For the first 60 minutes or fraction thereof beyond the initial 60 minute period (free time) for loading.........................................................  $65.00
        • For each additional 15 minute period or fraction thereof..........  $16.25
  4. When carrier is requested to make a pickup of an LTL shipment and arrived at the scheduled time for pickup and no freight is given to carrier, a charge of $100.00 will be assessed.
  5. Charges provided for in this Item shall be assessed against the party making the request for service.
