PITT OHIO Wins DuPont Sourcing & Logistics 2010 Outstanding Service Award

Pittsburgh, PA (October 6, 2011) - PITT OHIO has won the DuPont Sourcing & Logistics 2010 Outstanding Service Award in the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) category.

This award is based on, but not limited to, the following attributes: distribution of incidents, service, claims and response time to issues. PITT OHIO has won this award eight times and consecutively since 2007.

PITT OHIO is a Top Workplace in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh, PA (October 6, 2011) - PITT OHIO today announced it has been selected as a “Top Workplaces in 2011” in the city of Pittsburgh based on an independent employee survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics, LLC and sponsored by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette newspaper.

155 companies of all sizes in Pittsburgh participated in the 2011 “Top Workplaces” survey, and PITT OHIO is one of 25 Top Workplaces selected in the mid-size category. The PITT OHIO honor was announced in the Thursday, October 6th edition of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette newspaper.

PITT OHIO Receives Highest Safety Award Company Receives Fifth ATA President’s Trophy

Pittsburgh, PA (September 23, 2011) – PITT OHIO announced today that they have been awarded their fifth American Trucking Association (ATA) President’s Trophy. The award also has the industry consensus of being the highest safety award available to all motor carriers in the United States.

The President’s Trophy is presented by ATA and its Safety Management Council to one carrier in each of the following categories: Under 25 Million Miles (small fleet); 25 to 100 Million Miles (mid-size fleet); and Over 100 Million Miles (large fleet). PITT OHIO earned the award in the mid-size fleet category.

The three ATA President’s trophy recipients are honored for their superior safety achievements, outstanding commitment to industry safety and extensive promotion of safety among all highway users. Motor carriers are eligible every 4 years and PITT OHIO has won the award in every year the company has been eligible.

PITT OHIO’s Vice President of Safety and Risk Management Ron Uriah was honored to compete for the President’s Trophy with the best motor carriers in the nation. Uriah said, “We are fortunate to have been given this opportunity again because of the commitment our drivers have to driving safe, the dedication of our Senior Driver Trainers and the excellent equipment provided by our fleet service technicians. We thank the American Trucking Association, Senior Vice President of Great West Casualty John Joines and Great West Insurance for recognizing carriers’ safety efforts.”

PITT OHIO Wins 2011 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development

Pittsburgh, PA (September 21, 2011) – PITT OHIO announced today that they have received a 2011 “Outstanding Website” WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development in the transportation category. The WebAward is presented by Web Marketing Association to recognize work above and beyond the standard of excellence.

PITT OHIO redesigned its website in January to reflect the company’s new brand. The redesign included new body copy and an improved menu layout for better navigation.

PITT OHIO’s CMO and Executive Vice President Geoff Muessig said, “In 2011 we repositioned PITT OHIO to reflect the fact that we provide customers with high performance cost, effective SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, LTL and TRUCKLOAD solutions. The Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for Website development. Judges from around the world gather to review all sites entered in 96 industries. The websites are judged on the following categories: Design, Interactivity, Technology, Content, Innovation, Copywriting, and Ease of use to target audience.

PITT OHIO improved its scores making its site eligible for the “Outstanding Website” designation. The company previously won 2009 and 2010 “Standard of Excellence” WebAwards in the Transportation category.
