Since 2014, Aria Logistics has been a provider of large format residential delivery service. After starting in the New York Metropolitan area, Aria rapidly expanded to offer nationwide coverage. Aria specializes in the delivery of large format items, including: home appliances, furniture, fitness equipment and large electronics. Customers benefit from a complete suite of services that include: curbside, threshold, room of choice, and white glove.  

PITT OHIO President, Charles Hammel, III, realized the advantages of using well trained drivers, a customized fleet, and a residential technology platform to provide consignees with a superior service experience at an affordable price. PITT OHIO elected to invest in Aria Logistics because of their leadership, customer-base and final mile technology capabilities. In addition to receiving funding, Aria will also benefit from PITT OHIO expertise in functional areas such as safety, vehicle maintenance, and human resources to support even faster growth.

PITT OHIO retained the services of SJ Consulting Group, Inc. to help broker the proposed transaction. Strategic Advisor, Satish Jindel, guided both parties on the dynamics of the LTL industry and large format residential delivery markets.

Aria Logistics will continue to operate as a minority woman owned last mile delivery company. The large format residential delivery market is expected to continue to grow at a double-digit rate. Advancements in 5G and broadband technology will allow for the online buying and selling of large items without a trip to a local store.
