From day one we have believed our employees are our most valuable resource and we remain committed to developing a diverse, engaged, safe, and well-trained workforce.  To do so we focus on the core beliefs passed down from generation to generation to create a team environment where every employee feels respected and appreciated.  Happy and engaged employees deliver the customer service experience we strive for every day.   

Our culture of giving back is not just a brand promise.  It’s a core belief in our culture shared by everyone at PITT OHIO.  Whether it is helping others through monetary support, volunteering our time, cleaning up the environment or donating space in one of our vehicles, PITT OHIO gives back because it is deep-rooted in our culture and because it is the right thing to do.


At PITT OHIO, our most significant resource is our people, so we've extended our mission to be People Driven beyond the workplace. In 2007, PITT OHIO initiated a company-wide wellness program in an effort to encourage our employees to Eat Right, Be Fit and Live Well.

Rainy Day Fund

Safety comes first when it comes to our employees. PITT OHIO worked with the University of Pittsburgh to understand the effect that financial stress can have on drivers.  The fact is financial stress can take a toll on employees in and out of the workplace.  Using this study, as well as data from PITT OHIO’s SafetyBox™ software, they found financial worry leads to more distractions and made drivers 50% more likely to have a preventable accident.  As a result PITT OHIO launched a Rainy Day Fund for employees.  The Rainy Day Fund is an opportunity to engage our employees in a financial efficacy program to promote a consistent saving habit. Participants in our Rainy Day Fund set up a regular payroll deduction into a savings account. At the end of two six month periods the Company supplements the employee’s savings.


Since 2005, PITT OHIO has partnered with Keep America Beautiful and our employees bring their family and friends to participate in community improvement activities such as picking up litter, landscaping, gardening, and other Earth Day beautification projects during the month of April. Read more about our activities surrounding Earth Day.
