CIO 100 selected PITT OHIO for its implementation of a new enterprise Operations Platform for Dispatch, Telematics, Fleet Management and Driver workflow.

PITT OHIO recognized the need to upgrade its legacy fleet operations system, which had been in place since 2005. The company opted for a modern, cloud-based enterprise platform with a contemporary user interface to adapt to the evolving supply chain landscape.

The new platform, including a driver mobile app, was created by PITT OHIO and Maven, a leading startup technology company in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to this large-scale implementation and deployment project, PITT OHIO worked closely with Maven to develop the AI-enabled, data-rich operations and execution software platform. The platform optimizes and manages fleet operations in real time, and its modular product suite includes an execution portal for key daily transportation functions like dispatching, route planning, and line haul management, and a driver friendly mobile application for pickup and delivery workflows and ELD.

The new platform enables PITT OHIO to digitize paper-based LTL (less-than-truckload) operations, automate manual processes using AI/ML technology, and enhance data flow across the organization. This will significantly boost efficiency in pickup, delivery, and linehaul trucking operations.

The scalable, cloud-based AI-powered technology has been designed to continually evolve and support future innovation as PITT OHIO also evolves and grows over time. “We are immensely proud to receive the prestigious CIO 100 Award,” said PITT OHIO’s CFO/CIO, Scott Sullivan.  “PITT OHIO worked with Maven as a strategic technology partner to address a broader set of technical and operational needs, establishing a platform for today and the future that supports our goals holistically across the organization. PITT OHIO and Maven completed a successful on-time deployment schedule and rollout plan to over 2,500 users.  According to Sullivan, the enhanced user interface has led to substantial gains in driver productivity.
