PITT OHIO & Maven Secure a Prestigious “Top 5” Finalist Spot for the 2024 CSCMP Supply Chain Innovation Award
Pittsburgh, PA (September 18, 2024) - PITT OHIO, a leader in regional and national logistics services and sustainability in the transportation industry, and Maven, a leading AI-enabled operations platform for the transportation industry, announced today that they have been selected together as finalist for the CSCMP Supply Chain Innovation Award (SCIA) for 2024. Scott Sullivan, CIO, PITT OHIO, Avi Geller, Founder & CEO, Maven, and Paige Creo, VP of Marketing, Maven, will present a case study that they co-authored for the award submission at the CSCMP EDGE Conference 2024 on Tuesday, October 1st at 11:10 a.m. CT in Ryman Studio PQR at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
PITT OHIO worked with Maven as their strategic technology partner to address multiple supply chain challenges using AI-powered software. The case study focuses on how PITT OHIO supported the development of Maven and implemented the innovative, data-rich operations platform, resulting in a significant 10X ROI from productivity gains and cost savings in year one. PITT OHIO manages operations more efficiently and sustainably in real time due to executing its core daily functions like dispatching, driver pickup and delivery workflows, safety, and compliance on Maven’s cloud-based portal and mobile app. The Maven platform also increases efficiency, sustainability, and profitability at other leading trucking and logistics companies.
The companies’ joint presentation and demo at EDGE 2024 will dive deeper into the problems solved, solution, and results, including showing specific customer use case examples and outlining the cost savings that PITT OHIO has achieved, while also exploring the platform’s broader influences on the supply chain, the environment, and society. Following EDGE 2024, Maven and PITT OHIO will publish their written case study.
CIO of PITT OHIO, Scott Sullivan, says, “PITT OHIO chose to strategically invest in the development and deployment of AI/ML-enabled software with Maven as our technology partner to achieve long-term sustainability and profitability goals. Maven’s operations platform touches just about every aspect of our business, and the deployment across 2,600+ users was surprisingly quick and painless. At EDGE 2024, PITT OHIO is excited to educate the audience with Maven on the power of AI technology and how to utilize it to generate revenue and reduce costs, particularly when it is developed with real user input from fleets and deployed effectively.”
Avi Geller, CEO & Founder of Maven, continues, “Our platform is driven by innovation that achieves results, and our relationship with PITT OHIO has helped us build comprehensive solutions that have a far-reaching impact on trucking and the supply chain. Trucking companies and others who are looking to learn how to cut costs and grow profitably while also operating more sustainably should attend our session on October 1st, along with anyone who is interested in learning about the intersection of AI innovation and the supply chain.”
Maven VP of Marketing, Paige Creo, adds, “Maven is proud to co-author this case study and be named as a finalist with PITT OHIO for the CSCMP Supply Chain Innovation Award, which is certainly a testament to the strong partnership between our companies. We look forward to showing the audience how AI-powered operations software not only empowers truck drivers and other transportation industry employees, but also how it impacts the supply chain for the greater good now and will continue to do so in the future.”
The CSCMP Supply Chain Innovation Award website states, “For nearly 20 years, supply chain teams worldwide have been submitting their cases to the Supply Chain Innovation Award™ (SCIA) for the opportunity to receive recognition from their industry peers on a global stage. This award program receives submissions from creative innovators every year. A panel of reviewers, consisting of members of CSCMP's Research Strategies Committee (RSC) and the editorial board of SupplyChainBrain, review and select submissions of "Innovation in Action" from the top innovative teams who become the finalists that present their cases at CSCMP’s EDGE Conference.”
Five groups were chosen as finalists out of hundreds of submissions. The top SCIA award winner will be announced on Wednesday, October 2nd following the completion of each group’s presentation at the annual CSCMP EDGE 2024 conference.
