Pittsburgh, PA (July 10th, 2013) - Four drivers representing PITT OHIO placed among the top finishers at the 2013 State Truck Driving Championships in Ohio and West Virginia and will represent the company at the National competition in Salt Lake City, Utah August 20-24.

• Richie Bowman, a driver from the company´s Columbus terminal, earned the first place finish in the Straight Truck Class at the Ohio State Championship.
• Eric Johnson, a driver from the company’s Cincinnati location, earned third place in the Straight Truck Class competition at the Ohio State Championship.
• Charles Randolph, straight truck driver at the Company’s Charleston terminal, earned the top spot at the West Virginia State Championship. This is Randolph´s second appearance at the National Competition
• Paul Norman from the company´s Charleston terminal placed first in the Flatbed Class competition in West Virginia and will represent PITT OHIO at the National Competition for third time and 2nd year in a row.
• Nick Backes, a driver from the company’s Charleston terminal, earned the first place finish in the 4-Axle Class at the West Virginia State Championship and will represent PITT OHIO at the National Competition.

The Truck Driving Championships is an opportunity for professional truck drivers to demonstrate their driving skills and safety expertise. The event includes a difficult driving-skills challenge, pre-trip inspection and written examination covering vehicle operation and knowledge of federal safety regulations.
