Although this marks the first year PITT OHIO received a ranking, the company ranked in the top 250. The 2009 InformationWeek 500 companies were revealed on September 14, 2009 at an awards ceremony held during the InformationWeek 500 Conference at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California.

The objectives were to: 1) significantly improve end-user application performance by increasing bandwidth and converting to THIN application delivery model. 2) Eliminate downtime by providing an adequate and reliable backup network solution 3) Replace the existing phone solution with a more reliable and feature rich solution.
