PITT OHIO Wins 2014 Quest for Quality Awards

Regional LTL, TRUCKLOAD and National LTL receive honor

Pittsburgh, PA (August 6th, 2014) - PITT OHIO wins Logistics Management Magazine’s Quest for Quality Award in three categories, including Regional Less-Than-Truckload Northeast, Truckload and National LTL with The Reliance Network.

For the twentieth time, PITT OHIO has earned a spot in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) category. The results, according to the magazine, align with what many analysts believe to be true – that the top regional carriers like PITT OHIO have done the best job over the past 12 months of maintaining top service levels. 2014 marks the ninth year in a row that PITT OHIO has earned a spot on the regional LTL Quest for Quality list.

For the second year in a row, ECM TRANSPORT, PITT OHIO’s Truckload carrier received an award, placing third among eleven other carriers. According to the magazine, Logistics Management readers confirm that Truckload carriers on the Quest for Quality list, like ECM TRANSPORT, continue to offer top service despite mounting operational pressures

For the first time, a network of LTL regional carriers, The Reliance Network (TRNet) won a national LTL Quest for Quality award. The Reliance Network posted the top score for Value in this transportation category. According to the magazine, the long-haul LTL’s on the list like The Reliance Network are doing a stellar job of juggling the challenges while maintaining world-class service levels.

The Quest for Quality Awards are voted on by readers of Logistics Management magazine and are regarded as one of the most important measures of customer satisfaction and performance excellence. Recipients have received the "ultimate vote of confidence," with winners posting the highest scores in the various criteria. The five criteria are on-time performance, value, information technology, customer service, and equipment and operations.

These 2014 awards bring PITT OHIO’s overall grand total to 32 Quest for Quality Awards in the categories of Regional LTL, National LTL, Expedited and Truckload.
