With an already established commitment to sustainability and green policy for many years, PITT OHIO released its 2017 Annual Sustainability Report and announced today their plan to deepen its pledge to People, Planet and now Purpose. To read the full report, please click here.

Adding Purpose to their Sustainability Policy speaks directly to PITT OHIO’s mission statement of “Customer Driven, People Driven and Quality Driven.”  Purpose encompasses everything that makes PITT OHIO different from any other transportation solutions provider and specifically their culture of “Just Say Yes,” which means going above and beyond for their customers and employees.    

Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Geoff Muessig, said, “PITT OHIO is committed to doing our best to achieve environmental and social responsibility in an ethical and financially conscious way.  Our addition of Purpose to our Sustainability policy furthers our consideration of the nature of our business and the impact we have on our communities, our customers, and the environment.”

In recognition of Earth Day, PITT OHIO employees will gather together on Saturday, April 21^st for their 13^th annual PITT OHIO Clean Up, a partnership with Keep America Beautiful. An estimated 600 volunteers from across the company will spend the morning cleaning up litter in the communities surrounding the company’s 21 terminals and corporate office.  In Pittsburgh, PA PITT OHIO has partnered with Clean Sweep 15222, a new organization committed to providing a safe, environmentally-friendly and sustainable neighborhood in Pittsburgh’s Strip District, which is also home to PITT OHIO’s corporate office.
