PITT OHIO Wins 3 Logistics Management LTL Quest for Quality Awards
Pittsburgh, PA (August 10, 2020) – PITT OHIO announced today the receipt of three Logistics Management Quest for Quality Awards in the categories of Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional LTL, Expedited Motor, and Dry Freight (Truckload). The Quest for Quality Awards are the gold standard for customer satisfaction and performance excellence for carriers, ports, and logistics providers worldwide.
For the twenty-sixth time, PITT OHIO has earned a spot in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regional LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) category, earning first place honors from the customer votes. PITT OHIO’s expedite service, Fast Track, earned a spot for the 13th time among national carriers, placing 2nd on the list. PITT OHIO’s TRUCKLOAD service, provided by sister company, ECM TRANSPORT, earned a spot on the list for the 4th time in the Dry Freight category.
“We wouldn’t be where we are today without our customers confidence and high expectations of us,” said Chuck Hammel, President of PITT OHIO. “Our commitment to quality has laid the foundation for our success – it’s what our customers deserve. I am proud that by standing behind our people, they stood behind our mission to deliver quality service while making sure our nation received what they needed. Thank you for acknowledging our people with these 3 Quest for Quality Awards.”
Logistics Management’s (LM) Annual Quest for Quality Awards are the culmination of a six-month research project conducted by Peerless Research Group (PRG). For more than three decades, LM’s Quest for Quality Awards have been regarded in the transportation and logistics industry as the most important measure of customer satisfaction and performance excellence.
"It is our goal to earn the trust of our customers by providing consistent and reliable service,” said Geoff Muessig, PITT OHIO’s Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer. “This year we have been able to enhance our service offering by expanding our next day LTL coverage area and improving service standards in several high demand lanes. We appreciate that our customers have chosen to recognize the value of our LTL, Expedite and Truckload service offerings.”
“Quest for Quality Awards are uniquely purposeful in our market because the winners are determined by our readers—the buyers of logistics and transportation services who put these carriers and service providers to work on a daily basis all over the world,” said Michael Levans, Group Editorial Director of Peerless Media, LLC., the publisher of LM.
“What our editorial team has found amazing over the years is that no matter how many economic, regulatory or operational pressures they continue to face, the carrier and service provider communities find a way to step up to the plate to meet those evolving challenges,” said Levans. “And Logistics Management readers are proud to honor them with the highest vote of service confidence when they do. There is nothing that compares to these awards in the market.”
These 2020 awards bring PITT OHIO’s overall grand total to 44 Quest for Quality Awards in the categories of Regional LTL, National LTL, Expedited and Truckload.
About the Quest for Quality Awards
To determine the “best of the best,” LM readers—logistics, transportation and supply chain decision makers—rate carriers, third-party logistics (3PL) service providers and U.S. port operators strictly on the basis of service quality. One of the most notable elements about the Quest for Quality Awards is that it calls these shippers to vote in the genre of services in which they are customers; therefore, they vote for the providers that they believe have best delivered on quality service in specific niches.
This year, LM had 4,504 ballots cast from logistics and supply chain decision makers resulting in 144 transportation and logistics services providers who earned Quest for Quality gold.
